Agent 327: Operation Barbershop

Hendrik IJzerbroot – Agent 327 – is a secret agent working for the Netherlands secret service agency. In the twenty comic books that were published since 1968, Martin Lodewijk created a rich universe with international conspiracies, hilarious characters and a healthy dose of Dutch humour.

Studio Xander verzorgde het sound design en de eindmixage voor deze korte animatiefilm.

Sound Design

Het geluidsconcept voor Agent 327 heeft dezelfde opzet als de ‘look and feel’ van de animatie en het verhaal; volwassen, tegen het realisme aan met een komische noot. Foley artiest Ronnie van der Veer zorgde voor realistische foley (geluiden). Deze zijn in de geluidsmontage bewerkt om ze te laten matchen met de geanimeerde karakters. Er is tevens een theatrical surround mix gemaakt voor festival vertoningen.

For the Agent 327 short film we set the goal of high quality visuals and needed the sound to match it. StudioXander far exceeded our expectations with great recording sessions, superb sound effects and creative choices that added the depth the film needed.
